I find that my blog post titles are becoming pairs of rather unrelated items, but they seem to capture my updates.
Last night, I joined 10 or so other Fulbrighters at the Sixties Diner near to the Fulbright Commission in Berlin. It looked like a mix of a Johnny Rocket's and Red Robin's. I was starving from lunch, so I ordered an American Cheeseburger and Coke and devoured it all within a few minutes. Looks good, no?
Today, I had my last appointment with the orthopedist, and my knee is "99.9%" so it's in great shape. I just have to wear my athletic brace when I play sports at least for the next few months. But slowly, I'll be able to just walk without it.
I'm quite excited because today I got an email about a spring mixed softball league in Berlin. I have been looking forward to this since I packed my batting gloves, baseball glove, and Mariners' jacket in July; however, they're long gone since my shipped box never made it to Berlin from Athens. Either way, it's going to be fun playing this spring.
This afternoon I went grocery shopping and then came home to do work. Since my hair was so long though, I decided to try giving myself a haircut. It actually worked out alright, I think. It doesn't look great, but I feel a lot better without all that hair. Check out how badly I did.
I cut a bit too much off the left side, and I probably could've taken more off the top so it balanced how short it is on the sides. Oh well. Go ahead...laugh at me.
Tonight, I'm going to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One again. I'm going with a friend of Brandon's I met last night at the Fulbright dinner. She hadn't seen it yet, and no one in her study abroad group wanted to go see it. Since I wasn't feeling so well the first time I saw the movie, I offered to go with her. I look forward to enjoying the movie in good health this time.
By the way, AirBerlin has a special 2-for-1 airplane tickets to Vienna on sale today only. I am hoping one of my friends will come along. I've still got the travel bug!
Alright, back to work. Toodles!
Sam
